Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Chompionmobile app (the “Service”), provided by The Sea Labs LLC. By using the Service you agree to them.
1. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and in the United States. Chompion does not support pregnancy or breastfeeding, kidney disease, eating disorders or recovery from one, or diets prescribed for a medical condition, and will not create a plan in those cases.
2. Not medical advice
Chompion provides general nutrition information. It is not medical advice and does not replace your doctor, dietitian, or care team. Do not use Chompion’s estimates to dose insulin or any medication. Talk to a professional before changing your diet if you have a health condition.
3. Estimates and illustrations
Food recognition and nutrition values are AI estimates shown as ranges and can be wrong. Better Plate images are AI illustrations of possible changes, not exact portions or a guarantee of what a dish contains. Suggestions respect the allergies and restrictions you enter but cannot detect hidden ingredients or cross-contact; always check labels and ask when eating out.
4. Account
You sign in with Apple or Google and are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your sign-in secure.
5. Subscriptions, trial, and billing
Chompion requires a subscription, billed monthly or yearly by Apple or Google at the price shown in the app before you buy. Eligible new subscribers get a 3-day free trial; unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription starts and renews automatically until you cancel. Manage or cancel in your Apple or Google account settings. Refunds are handled by the store under its policies. Deleting your Chompion account does not cancel your subscription.
Fair-use limits apply, such as a daily number of Better Plate images and a monthly number of meal analyses (fewer during the trial). The app tells you when you reach one.
6. Acceptable use
- Upload only photos and text you have the right to use, and nothing unlawful.
- Do not misuse, reverse engineer, overload, or attempt to bypass limits of the Service.
- Do not use the Service to build a competing product or dataset.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and text you add. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You may save and share Better Plate images created for you for personal use.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, including health-related data.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and mascot artwork, belongs to The Sea Labs LLC and its licensors.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including accuracy of estimates or fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Sea Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms and will revise the date above; material changes will be notified in the app. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of The State of California, USA.
